Happy Birthday/Valentine's Day!!

February and March are usually two busy months around the Woods home. We celebrate Valentine's Day on the 14th of February followed by Landon's b-day on the 15th. Laura Beth was born on March 8th and my birthday follows on the 13th. We're rounding out February and gearing up for more celebrations in March! This year Landon turned 30 so I decided to throw him a small surprise party in Vienna with some of his closest friends and family. Everything went off great and he as surprised. For Valentine's Day we spent the day together at the zoo. (Oh and I must brag on my sweet husband who brought me breakfast in bed, tulips, and Victorias Secret. The best part was LB saying Happy Valentine's Day Mommy.) We wanted to go to the aquarium but it was packed! The zoo turned out to be a very nice alternative and Laura Beth enjoyed herself. Sunday night, Landon and I went to dinner at The Capital Grille Buckhead with Laura and Lloyd. I can't stop thinking about that delicious steak! It was a wonderful meal with wonderful friends! We are gearing up for Laura Beth's 2nd birthday Saturday and then our dual celebration on the 14th.

Laura Beth's First Fish!

Poppy has been waiting for this day since he knew he was having a grandchild. Laura Beth went fishing with Poppy on Sunday. And she got her first fish! A whopping 1 ouncer I guess. :) You have to look very close to see the fish. Very cute! Now I just have to keep her out of the woods! I am not a fan of her going hunting. Fishing looks good for her.

A Girl's Weekend!

We all need some time for ourselves right! Well, I took a much needed weekend hiatus with my favorite girls. Christine, Tiff, Olivia, and I spend the weekend downtown at the W for some girl time and R&R. We stayed at the hotel most of the weekend wandering out just to do some shopping at Atlantic Station on Saturday. I met them at the hotel Friday night where they had began nibbling on cheese and crackers and sipping wine. We had apps in the lounge and a yummy martini. A virgin mohito for Tiff as she is 8 months prego! Off to bed early Friday night. Remember the goal of the weekend was time with friends and relaxation! What more could a girl want right! Saturday was complete with an early breakfast, Christine took time for a facial, I watched a movie (can you believe it!?!?! I never take the time to watch movies) and then we did lunch and shopping. Saturday night we dressed up for dinner at the Spice Market (Asian cuisine that didn't agree with my tastebuds.. but the company I had made up for it) and drinks at hotel pub. Tiff was such a trooper.. looking all hot in her little dress and heels. I think she would have stayed up later than us if we tried to go to bed. It was a nice time with my closest friends.
