Beach hats, Cover-ups, and Towels

With summer quickly approaching and the beach in sight, I have a new beach hat to offer. I can't wait to take Laura Beth to the beach in May. Hopefully, she'll keep her hat on. The cover up came from Target. Unfortunately the white ones have been picked over quickly. I will be on the lookout for some plain white bathing suit cover ups to monogram. I can get the terry robes for children however. I purchased a few towels today and have some cute new summer appliques to try out. I am going to work on some towel designs when we return from Augusta. I will post them once I finish. We'll be in August for the Master visiting friends and family Wed-Sun. of this week.

Waffle Weave Cosmetic Bags!

These cosmetic bags are a must have! Paula gave me one when she got married about 4 years ago and I am still using mine. I need to monogram a new one for myself though. I have the small ones (perfect for your purse) you see here or a larger version. I just ordered some of the spring colors. Very cute!

Bibs, Burp Cloths, and Bloomers

Here are some of the bibs I have created or just monogrammed. I have a ton in stock and they can be embellished with any font and/or applique design.

Monogrammed/Appliqued A Line Dresses

I just love these adorable a line toddler dresses. They can be worn in the Spring/Summer or even in the Winter with a turtleneck and tights. You can add any design to match just about any theme. I am having so much fun creating different designs. They can be made reversible as well. This is a great way to get more use out of a dress. I know I hate buying a seasonal or holiday outfit because you can only get a few wears out of it. This way you can put that heart for Valentine's Day or Christmas tree on one side and not feel guilty.

Appliqued T-shirts

Here are some of the applique t-shirts I have created. I have a wealth of cute appliques and embroidery fonts to choose from.

A Woods Weekend and My Latest Creations

We spent the weekend at home just hanging around the house. Quite typical these days. A babysitter is hard to come by and truthfully Landon and I enjoy cooking a nice dinner, drinking a glass of wine, and hangint out with Laura Beth over going out these days. We laughed Friday night when Landon was watching the cooking channel and I was monogramming something in the office. Man, how things change when you have a child! The weather was wet and yucky so we didn't even get out of the house much. However, we did enjoy some company Saturday night. Erin, Kevin, and Aubrey came for dinner. Landon cooked an amazing dinner once again. The best part was his homemade banana cheesecake. Wow!! Better than the Cheesecake Factory! Laura Beth and Aubrey were able to play and take a bath together. So cute! Laura Beth was so tired and wasn't great company. After the girls went to bed, we just hung out, enjoyed some wine and talked.

I spend last week and this weekend creating some cute a line dresses and monogramming. I am going to post pictures below. My goal is to learn how to organize my blog and create my own website for reference. I am getting so many inquiries/orders for some of my creations. Someone even called me from Chic-fil-a when they saw one of my diaper bags I made a friend. I wish I had the time and money to do it just for fun because there is that added pressure when someone is paying you. But, as I learn and get better and better my confidence builds. I am very excited about a birthday dress I created for a friends little girls first birthday. I think it turned out so cute. I hope she loves it. I will post a picture after I send it to her. I know she reads this blog and I don't want to ruin the surprise. :)

The Treasure of a Friend

Tonight I thought about how much I used to love quotes and read good ones. I still love them but just haven't found the time to read much lately and my "deep thoughts" aren't running too deep these days. But as I opened a book a dear friend gave to me for my birthday last year. There was one of my all time favorite friendship quotes. "My only sketch, profile, of heaven is a large blue sky....larger than the biggest I have ever seen in June-and in it are my friends- every single one of them. --Emily Dickinson.

My sketch, profile of heaven has many images but one of those images is definitely my friends. My friends are as dear to me as my family, my husband, and my child. They are there to laugh with, cry with, share the joys and struggles of womanhood, and celebrate with. I treasure each and every one of them and thank God for their prescence in my life.
